Very interesting the feature in the app was released before the actual vehicle update. First time I've seen that. Hopefully the update is near. Loving the frequent updates now, literally a new easter egg with each update. And hopefully bug fixes.
This has been standard release procedure for any R1 software updates that will also require a mobile app update. They roll out the app update roughly 1-2 weeks before the vehicle update rollout, likely to ensure the app update is successful before the vehicle update is deployed.

Well, you weren’t arguing this originally were you. You simply said “It doesn’t really. Unlike an ICE vehicle, you’re not penalized for accelerating harder“, which is silly because of course as you accelerate more it’s going to use more energy.

If you want to discuss comparisons between EVs and ICE as it pertains to efficiency, that’s different.
You need some amount of energy to get up to a given speed, and whether that energy output is spread out over 10 seconds or 3 seconds isn't of much consequence in an EV, so long as you're not spinning your wheels. I mentioned ICE as a comparison because that's the only logical conclusion I could make for why you assumed I was joking about overall energy consumption being lower to get to a given speed if you accelerate slowly.

Ah, I didn't realize it wasn't released. Rivian Tracker says "first noticed 9/13". So no one has it yet?
Nobody outside of Rivian.

Looks like 2 people got it on 9/14 according to ElectraFi, but nobody since then. Likely still in limited release.

I'm surprised more people don't use this tracking service.
I think those are the normal 2 that get the early .0 release on Electrify, one is an R1T in CA with 65k on it and an R1S in IL with 100k on it.

Those are both Rivian’s vehicles for, presumably, testing.

I don’t doubt they are Rivian employee vehicles but would be very surprised if Rivian would actually put any company vehicles on the electrify site.

They are the same two (sometimes 3) that always show up a week or two before the general rollout. They get the .0 release and any incremental dot releases.

I also doubt that Rivian “put” them there so assume the owners/drivers do it themselves but who knows, really.

They haven't even released the Android update so suspect it will be a bit more time dealing the Apple Music bugs....

I’m pretty sure those released are the out of spec guy and maybe another reviewer. They always have them before release so they can do a video.

Kinda depends on the motor design.
