I’ve never seen response time problems. From time to time the screen’s sensitivity to touch commands seems to be low. But that could also be my simply not hitting a button correctly.
My whole system is extremely glitchy. Coming from Tesla, I’m fairly disappointed in the Rivian. The Gen2 was supposed to have a blazingly fast CPU, which, at least in my car is not the case. Or maybe just the graphics side of things. I have to do a soft reset almost every day.

Does this "infotainment stability" include solid internet connectivity? I still can't get my internet to stay on when I start a drive. I have it for about 10-15 minutes and then it leaves and doesn't return. I'm paying for connect+ and I have LTE. Yet all internet dependent items in the car are useless after 15 minutes into a drive. Getting to be very annoying.
Ditto. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. I have 4-5 bars of LTE but my car says no internet when I try and load Apple Music. Navigation search also doesn’t work for 5-10 minutes when I first start the truck saying it’s offline.

Infotainment is nearly identical to Gen 1. It's the autonomy platform thats much improved.

I may have missed it but have you guys contacted Rivian about your experiences? I have a Gen 1 and don’t experience any of these issues. I assume Rivian is aware some problems exist considering the upcoming stability improvements but I wouldn’t expect a problem not reported to be resolved.

I've got a fair number of bugs in the current release like settings not sticking and car status not updating on the screen. It would be nice to have a stable release so I could stop updating for a while and just drive.

My Gen1 has been pretty responsive for all the menus. Once in a while it has a hiccup but that typically involves maybe a 1/4 second wait. Nothing terrible so far. I thought reducing the computers, going to their zonal architecture and cutting out all that wire was supposed to make this so much better than the G1's...

You're hearing just a lot of anecdotal stuff. The infotainment computer is nearly identical between the two.

Owners of both generations have been complaining about the laggy infotainment on the last update. And the complaints range from "Once in a while it has a hiccup but that typically involves maybe a 1/4 second wait" to "My whole system is extremely glitchy" depending on what you're doing and how picky the owner is ha ha.

So yes, the new zonal architecture is a huge step up in a lot of ways. But it unfortunately doesn't really help infotainment responsiveness. That part is almost identical

Heated front fascia is huge for me. Snow/slush accumulation on sensors is a real PITA
Yes, I experienced this today. They need to address the rear too ?.

A little upsetting that they had the hardware in there from day one but took them until now to have the software for it ready

Nonetheless I'm very excited to try it. It will be a game changer

Looks like that is only on G2 so to be fair the cold weather has only been for a few weeks for most of the country. Was not an issue when G2 was released in the summer so probably not a high priority for the initial release.

Likewise. Now let’s activate those headlight heaters ?
