Relative to Gen 2, I'm glad to see the "improved the charging efficiency of Dual-Motor Large and Max pack batteries." I went from a Gen 1 Quad to a Gen 2 DM Max last November, and charging at DC fast chargers has been noticeably slower. That issue is my only gripe coming from Gen 1 to Gen 2 (as I fully knew what I'd be losing going from the Quad t the Dual). This was supposedly addressed in the last update, but I didn't notice any real improvement. Hopefully this update moves the needle.

Driving a Mach E right now and it has pretty wonky speed control and grabby brakes. It also comes almost to a stop, then coasts without you realizing, then grabs the brakes. A recipe for car sickness. Turn off one pedal and you get some weird clunks and motor activations. Rivian is much further along in this game so don't be too hard on them.

People complain about a bouncy ride in the Rivian. Wow the Mach E is another level of wagon train suspension. Hold on to your kidneys as it doesn't handle that great for a stiff ride. Porsche, BMW and Audi show how a firm suspension doesn't have to compromise your ride. Rivian has options that are pretty good.
Pedal calibration for one-pedal EVs is a big deal and I don't think reviewers/publications pay enough attention to this detail. Tesla has perfected pedal calibration. I didn't realize I was spoiled until I drove my Rivian which isn't that bad, but needs work.

Ain't that the truth! Tesla has nailed it and I commented in several threads here. I feel like I have millimeter-level control of the throttle. I have to park my Plaid somewhere between just touching the wall with the nose or at most 1" away. I can very gently nuzzle the nose against the wall so it barely touches. If I don't, the garage door will take the rear spoiler right off.

If I was doing this with my Rivian, I'd have punched a hole through the wall at least a hundred times already. Part of is the super grabby hold feature of the brake. The other is what feels to be lack of resolution with the throttle. Either way it makes it pretty sketchy when parking in tight quarters. It isn't so bad if I am still rolling a bit but once the brake hold kicks in, it is very challenging to move the truck just an inch forward. I wish I could totally disable that feature most times.

I love the "Hold" feature in traffic, but turning it off TEMPORARILY might be nice.

I have enough control for my needs, but sometimes a situation is very very tight.

Best wishes!

Sounds like building a larger garage might solve these issues faster ;)

I do not understand people’s issues with the throttle control.

I do not have any issue, I’ve been backing into my garage for 2 years and if I am not within an inch or so of the garage door I can’t walk behind the vehicle. I just use the front camera to line up with a mark in the floor.

Here is a picture of how I’ve been parking, no issue with my throttle moving a quarter of an inch.

My hold is very grabby. It is very hard to get it to move an amount that is so easy with my Tesla my wife could do it. Maybe yours isn't as grabby.

Nice park job! I agree with you. I haven't had any issues with throttle control.

Agreed! It took some practice but now it’s easy to just move it a fraction of an inch in my tiny garage.

I drove a loaner, 22LE, and it wasn't anywhere close to as grabby as my 24. There is definitely variation. My 24 feels like you have to break through a wall before it'll move.

I hope so I face this all the time reversing out of my garage!

also things I’m super excited about:

Driver Assistance Improvements (I unfortunately had been plagued by these. Glad to see it fixed!)
  • Fixed a rare issue that prevented Adaptive High Beams from working due to a false failure.
  • Fixed a rare issue that resulted in the unavailability of driver assistance features after a vehicle wake and required a vehicle reset to recover.

Apple Music Improvements
  • Fixed an issue that caused perceived volume to fluctuate between tracks, particularly when moving between Dolby Atmos and stereo. (Can finally turn on DA again??

also wild they are just now turning this on… ?
  • In certain cold conditions, a small section of the front fascia now heats to ensure sensor performance.
I wonder if this is an attempt to address Vampire Drain. “Ready” state in Home Assistant is when the vehicle comes out of “Sleep” mode and usually when drain occurs.

Vehicle Sleep Improvements
  • Improved the “Ready” state efficiency when there is no driver present.

I’ve been monitoring my DCFC sessions. And it’s such a mixed bag already because there are so many variables that affect how speedy a session can be. That said, my first DCFC after the last update I saw my charge speed from 82 to 88 SOC stay above 100kw. I’ve never once gotten above 100 after 82 before. Once it dipped below 100 it did seem to stay above 50 for longer but I haven’t dived into the numbers to compare. This probably saved me a couple of minutes overall but is not earth-shattering. Moreover, given I have a Large+ pack, I would really like to see the Max curve (or reasonable facsimile) applied to software-locked Large+ packs. It’s in everyone’s best interest from a DCFC charging congestion standpoint.

I'm finally ready to tackle the home assistant integration. Is there just one to pick from in HACS?

For 2022-2024 models it seems to be bug fixes and stability enhancements. Good news.
Does this "infotainment stability" include solid internet connectivity? I still can't get my internet to stay on when I start a drive. I have it for about 10-15 minutes and then it leaves and doesn't return. I'm paying for connect+ and I have LTE. Yet all internet dependent items in the car are useless after 15 minutes into a drive. Getting to be very annoying.
