It moves you earlier, not first. It divides the population into two cohorts. Connect+ and non-Connect+. The Connect+ cohort goes first, not all at once though. Then the non-Connect+.

From the Connect+ support page it says "Priority software updates", which is different than instant.

Actually, i didn’t know about the SW update until a prompt appeared on my screen. That’s how much I am tracking it. I suppose, priority can also be last priority. Rivian is covered.

Gen2 DM R1S here. One change (or bug) that I noticed in Snow mode, Auto ride height is now enabled by default. Previously, Auto ride height was off by default in Snow mode.

I like to use Snow mode during normal driving because it keep the rear motor engaged which makes for a much nicer urban driving experience. And it doesn't do auto right height adjustment, at least it didn't until this last FW update.

I think this FW update also changed some of my privacy settings. I think it enabled the in car video clips, which I had previously disabled.

That’s pessimistic, it just means everyone with an R2 has priority.

Am I making things up that the graphics look more crisp?

Am I also making it up that my Gen1 used to show stop lights on the map but after this update does NOT show them. I swear I’ve seen stop lights on the map before. None tonight.

Those went away when they shifted from OSM to Google Maps.

Curious if any other Gen 2 R1 owners who pay for Connect + haven't gotten the update yet? I have a 2025 R1S with Connect+ and haven't received the update.

I'm hopeful it'll fix a big list of bugs we've been experiencing over the last few updates that are not mentioned in the release notes .

I'm gen1 and Connect+ from the day subscription program/scheme went live. I've only just gotten flagged yesterday.

Don't worry about it. Everyone gets flagged eventually. And push order is random each time, among subscribers, then non-subscribers. Read Rivianroamer's update guide.

Looks like there's a redesigned fade and balance screen with the default centered further back. Dolby Atmos on Apple Music seems to sound better too.
