Long story short I got a nail through my sidewall, thankfully have a spare in my R1T so it was a non issue but I wanted to replace it and it's not super easy to find so I figured a thread of where to find decent priced OEM vs replacement tires might be worth while. Rivian site sent me to pirelli who only has one functioning link to TireRack which the local place matched pricing on and saved me nearly $200 for a single tire. Hopefully the shop ordered the right one since there are a few versions of this tire that don't have the same weight capacity.

Happy posting if you know of any other locations that have reasonably priced tires. Hopefully this is the last time I need to buy a replacement but I won't hold my breath.

Discount tire direct is another good source for tires however they appear to be out of stock...at least in my region.

So be careful about weight limits, i know i'm probably splitting hairs but these are the 115 and the stock wheels are 116 (check this site out - weight capacity nearly 100lbs different based on that #). Also these are an additional $50 more expensive for some reason than tire rack, I'm hoping these become more commonplace so prices push down but I won't hold my breath.

Good catch. I'm not sure how I posted that link. If you select the R1T it does display the correct 116H load rated tire. I updated my original post to remove the erroneous link.

Do they both charge for shipping?

My local place price matched and didn't charge me shipping which saved me shipping/hassle but it did take nearly 5 days (ordered Sat arrived Thur). I would imagine spending a few hundred would qualify for free shipping but I didn't actually have to pull the trigger on mine.

I'm lucky I had a spare or I would've been truck-less over a flat tire for nearly a week. What a headache that would've been.

I warned my R1S buddy to price/buy a spare and keep it in the garage since his doesn't come with even an option for one and he never thought about it being an issue.
