I took delivery of my R1T on December 22nd, opting for the lease option they provided. The truck's been great, with only a few minor cosmetic issues I noted after taking delivery. The main challenge I've had is getting my Chase account information and clarity around my first payment due date.

I've called Rivian Financial Services / Chase each day over the last week and a half and have reached out to my guide and customer service at Rivian multiple times over the past week but still don't have a confirmed account number or payment due date. From what I've heard here, it seems like others that opted for a lease have gotten their account information within days. Chase told me it should show up within two weeks, but it seems I'm lost somewhere in the system.

Perhaps Rivian decided to gift me the truck, but just wondering if anyone else has experienced this much of a delay from taking delivery to getting financial account numbers, etc. in the mail? It's an odd situation when I'm the one hounding Rivian and Chase each day so that I can pay them vs. them chasing me.

Just document every time you call and don't worry about it. Make sure to save your payments in case it takes a little while. If it takes a couple months they may want the back payments.

My financing stuff just magically appeared in my Chase account that I already had. I imagine leasing stuff would work the same way. If you don't already have a Chase account, see if you can go through what information you do have and find an application number.

Thanks - yeah, I have the chats and email copies as well as call logs just in case. Just wish this process was a lot smoother or that the guide actually replied timely to questions after delivery (they were pretty decent before delivery).

I don't have any other Chase accounts, so will need to setup the account once they get my account number to me.

I had a Chase credit card, so my loan was right there when I logged into my Chase account. Maybe there is a way to create a Chase account online with your social security number (since you don't have your account number), and if there is, I would say there is a good chance you will see the information there. I also would be frustrated by not being able to get an account number from Chase or Rivian.

Chase can't find me by my social and said it's likely that Rivian hasn't sent them the info yet. I did get a bureau pull notice from Chase though. A bit of a cluster.

Not sure if the timing is different for leases, but for my loan the first payment was due 45 days after taking delivery. I received an e-mail to create my chase account 2 weeks after delivery. Given the holidays, I'd say you're on the upper bound of reasonable timing for getting your invite e-mail.

Keep pestering them, but I'd expect you'll see something this week, and your first payment is due Feb 5th.

I didn't get any info on my chase account, but I already had another account with chase, and one day the Rivian loan appeared there, but nothing ever came in the mail. Make a chase account, it's probably already there.

Reality is that the Rivian and Chase systems are not "talking" to each other like they should. The Rivian carrier pigeon will arrive in 45-60 days at Chase and deliver your docs (maybe crap on the desk too). Then all will be well and you will be expected to play catch-up with your payments. At that point I'd sue for trauma.

Oh, interesting! Wonder if there's just a backlog due to the holiday break. I also was told in one of my earlier calls that the first payment date should be about 45 days after delivery, but wasn't certain if that was true for leases vs. loans. Regardless, it seemed concerning that I'm 10 days past the date RFS told me I should get my account information.

No call yet from the guide team (my guide is apparently on vacation now) after calling customer service this morning. Will follow up again with them later this week.

Well, good to know we're not alone then. I did get an email from the on call guide team a few hours ago and they hope to get me an update soon. Starting to think this is just end of year delays with processing things, but would still have been helpful to be informed of the delay as opposed to having to chase down the information.

More than likely a backlog. Like was said document your attempts to move this along.

A little side note...I am not a fan of Chase. I had a very bad experience with them maybe 16-17 years ago. They treated my wife very poorly and tried to raise the rate on a small little card she had with them at the time to 29.99% . After the way she was treated we paid and closed the card. Vowed never to use Chase again.

Just called Rivian Financial Services (Chase) and they have no record of me yet. The lady I spoke with said I should expect something in the mail at some point, and that it should take 2-3 weeks for them to get me in their system. Obviously it's taking longer than that though if some folks haven't seen anything after a month.
