So I have been looking for Defender Style bendable mud flaps for the R1S. These are the only ones I can find that are close to Defender Style. However the price of these completely eclipse the product value 2x IMO. A horrific price for value. I am looking for flexible rubber.

Is anyone aware of a similar product out there?

Thanks

How flexible are those? And ......unrelated..... which sliders do you have? My kids are having a tough time getting into the R1s.

Flexiblish - ABS; not nearly as flexible as the urethane of rally armor.

Those are EVSportline running boards; I bought and mounted those before any sliders were available for the R1S. I may swap; but they keep me more honest when off-roading.

Out of curiosity, do these have any effect on range? My brain thinks they would but maybe they are small enough to not disrupt the airflow on the sides. What have you all found?

why do you want flexible and huge mud flaps?
I use my 4x4 hard like they are designed. On and off-road. They work much better than the solid plastic ones (which also tend to break if they get compressed). They also keep the mud and rocks off both the car and from accumulating in the wheel well. Plus they don't build up snow/ice/mud like a giant ice cream scoop (this is what the har polymer ones do). They reduce the slingshot of rocks much better as well. Anyway, I've been off-roading for years I find the utility much ..much...better than those mall crawler hard plastic ones for the stated reasons. Those hard plastic ones are more vanity than functionality.

The ones I have hold up abuse quite well, I’m not gentle with my rig at all. I say you’re doing them a disservice calling them vanity only. They again are not the “ice cream scoop” style, really appreciate that description ?

I’m still laughing at the two posts above questioning the need and asking about efficiency.

You know which ones are the scoop ones though right? I think the EV blank brand. The t wraps look much better and at least smooth. Stiff isn't great unless you are just trying to protect paint.
