Does anyone know of a good quality adapter that could be used to plug the R1T (or S) into a standard campground 30 amp outlet? I think the cable Rivian provides are 30 amp 250v. I was at a campground a while ago and they had 30 amp only (no 50 amp) but it was only 120v I think and the adapter I had did not work at all. So I used the standard 110 plug for the weekend. Just looking for something that would allow me to plug into the 30 amp service and get a little more range per hour. TIA

When using that adapter just make sure you set the charging amperage accordingly in the energy screen to 24 amps. You have to do that since the mobile charger will want to pull 32 amps because it thinks your on a 14-50 at 240v.

I have the same brand, but mine converts the TT (30A 120V) into a 14-30 outlet (30A 240V). It works with my gen1 Tesla mobile connector and adapters (then I've got a Tesla-to-J1772 adapter so I can charge my R1S with it). It works great.

Just make sure you get one (like the linked one above) that specifically says it is for an EV rather than an RV. They are wired differently.

I would definitely recommend this brand, AC Works, from Amazon. I've bought two of them and they seem "smarter" than the cheap ones you get from hardware store. My R1T wouldn't recognize those but these AC Works adapters work perfectly. They're more expensive though, of course

Thanks! I already ordered a different one from amazon. I will give that one a try and if it doesn't work I'll try this suggestion. Appreciate all the feedback.

This!

You can get the 50-30A conversion cables at Walmart or any RV parts store if you’re in a pinch.

Something you may want to consider is a portable power surge protector like a Hughes Watchdog.

RV parks are notorious for not providing clean power. I use one on our RV and many years ago, it saved us from an electrical fire.

Some dummy thought our power post was theirs, even though we were actively plugged in. He flipped the wrong breaker switching the power from 50A to not 50A and the surge protector shunted all power to the RV.
