So this morning we changed site at the campground we’re at and I plugged in while the car was ‘off’ (doors locked and all). 7-way powered everything normally. I’ll continue testing. Hoping this is a reliable fix until the bug is ironed out.
Hooked up to leave the campsite this am with the door shut, truck recognized trailer but no running lights, only brakes. Drove back to my cabin, parked but didn't unhook. Came out a few minutes later and when it unlocked (likely went to sleep) the lights were miraculously working again, and I never touched the connection. It's clearly a software bug.

I am having a similar issue with a camp trailer that I just bought. I have yet to get my R1T to power the running lights. I know that the trailer is good as I have some fancy trailer testers. The bulbs are incandescent so it's not that. I have a service appointment in August but I am heading out this Thursday.

I have also noticed that the R1t is not powering the 12v accessory circuit either. Everything else works fine.

I was about to tear into the fuse boxes but I'll try the workaround mentioned above first.

OK... So I definitely had two blown fuses F45 (25a) in the passenger side fuse panel and F19 (35a) on the driver's side.

I wonder if those of you that are experiencing intermittent issues actually have self resetting breakers instead of fuses in your trucks. I know that gen 2 trucks only have these. I wonder if some gen 1 also have them installed. These fuses are the maxi compact size and there are maxi compact breakers as well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Gen 2 is all virtual fuses as part of the updated electrical architecture. All I can confirm for sure is going to sleep does reset them, because about a year ago, when I was installing a powered sub, I accidentally shorted the 12v momentarily and oh boy, I thought I bricked the the truck. All sorts of warnings, lights flickering, and a full reset did nothing.

Truck went to sleep, woke up, and it was back to normal.

I guess it's possible they changed some current threshold on the trailer lights virtual fuse. I'll have to test with my little utility trailer and see if it does it with that one too, way fewer lights.

Or now that I think about it, I did forget to flip the disconnect for the house batteries before I hooked up both times this happened. They are lifepo batts that can draw up to 1C (100a) each charging current.

Ok. May have found a (temporary, hopefully) fix.

I’m on a road trip right now with lots of one night stays as drive back from our destination and sometimes unpin the Airstream to charge.

For my last 5 trailer hookups, I’ve had no camera issue.

What I do is turn on camp mode and lock the truck. Camp mode avoids my keys or phone waking up the truck.

I then connect the 7-way. When I get into the Rivian, the camera is not on but then I turn off camp mode and voila, it works every time.

I also noticed that turning on the truck lights while in camp mode will activate the camera (and trailer market lights).

So, the issue seems to be appear when connecting the 7-way while the Rivian lights are on. Could they be sharing the same e-fuse?

Next, I will try keeping the truck awake but turning off the Rivian lights before connecting the 7-way.
