Does anyone have the exact dimensions of the manual tonneau cover?

My truck comes with the rails, ready for the manual cover.

Seems like we could 3D print a cover that would fit perfectly in the bed.

I prefer the black, flush, plastic look of the stock cover.

You have access to a 3D printer that can print 4.5ft wide?

I don’t. Maybe someone does.

Might just slide a black ABS sheet in the rails and just be done.

I'd suspect no one who has one would want to work on this. Most of the consumer grade ones print at well less than 1MM wide strips. That second would take about forever and day to print, even assuming you had one with a wide enough footprint.

Wood or some sort of laser cut metal would likely work better. I'm not sure if there is a business case for this outside of Rivian currently though. Most places would shy away from doing anything substantial in the market unless there is a pretty sure bet. With Rivian being really cagy about what they're doing in this area, beyond stating that they will be doing something, everyone else is biding their time.

Just for S&Gs... Wouldn't be too hard to make a delta printer to be able to do this. 13.5"x54"x3/4" panels, 2mm thick.
Rivian R1T R1S 3D printed manual tonneau cover? 1676421776652

Very very uninterested in following through.

You’re better off getting HDPE marine board from a plastics supplier, routing tongue and groove joints, and weather stripping the channel. Can be done for a few hundred.
The brand name I found was Seaboard $400 in Milwaukee. I’m waiting to see what the Rivian manual cover is going to be before I spend that much

Try Curbell Plastics in VA. They can cut to size.
I like the Seaboard material, I’m just waiting to see what Rivian comes up with and the price before I pull the trigger on the HDPE. I‘m thinking of routing grooves and maybe trying to find rollers that fit the rail system

That would be a nice system.

Yeah, but it”ll be pricey to build. Rough estimate is $700-800. High quality rollers, epoxy to set them, felt weather stripping for the track area, rubber weather stripping for the cab and tailgate ends. I”d have to get or borrow.proper tools as well

Well you may end up doing it, if no one gets a manual tonneau. Rivian could tell us to pound sand with a $800 refund.
