First looks from factory delivery of Compass Yellow R1T

I'll have more to post soon about the whole experience, but I just picked up my Compass Yellow R1T at the factory yesterday! Everything was great, truck drove the 300 miles home without issue (excluding Driver+ only working on a small part of the drive).

She's beautiful! The color is truly hard to capture. I'd describe it best as margarine rather than mustard. These were taken with my dSLR, so hopefully they do a good job representing the color.

Have to say, it would never occur to me to order a yellow vehicle. However, that truck looks frickin’ amazing! It just screams fun! Has me thinking ?

i reconfigured my R1S in yellow. It doesn’t look as good on the S as it does on the T. i think it’s because the S has a black roof and the T doesn’t.

I saw an Yellow with OC interior at the Rivian plant, looked amazing.

I can honestly say I haven't seen a Rivian color that does look cool.

So excited to see more of these and I guess in the future their will be all day Rivian factory tour.

We should plan a Rivian owners event around it.

I'm gonna put my R1T in a local car show in two weeks, but can't say enough good things about the R1T.

Yellow looks better on the S precisely because of the black roof.

I mentioned this on a different thread, but the short answer is no. We saw 4 (maybe 5) R1S vehicles total. All of them appeared to be test vehicles, not customer deliveries.

That being said, we couldn’t see very much of the staging area, and there’s a new giant covered tent where they are prepping vehicles. So it’s possible there were more hiding out.

Hopefully we’ll get more news this week!

Beautiful R1T. I almost got that color and license plates that said EVTONKA as the color reminds me a lot of the tonka toys we had as kids. Wishing you many years of FUN in your R1T. My delivery is at home in 8 days!! Can't wait, and hoping i have one of the good ones and not one of the few that some have had major issues with.

Thanks! In person it's more buttery-golden than Tonka, but I love the idea!

I've had a dozen ideas for naming it. Less serious ones include:

• A plate that says NOTALMN
• Baaaaaanaaanaaaaaaaa
• Big Bird (it's big, it's yellow, and it chirps)

I also like

• Ra: Egyptian sun god, has the head of a bird
• My wife suggested "Shock-Ra" (Chakra)
• Sunstreaker (old-school Lamborghini yellow transformer)

But I've had my heart set on Hyperion since before I saw it. It's the title of one of my favorite books, as well as a titan in Greek mythology who fathered the god of the sun.
