This idea was mentioned in an old thread about a loose A pillar trim. I decided to give its own thread.

Any adventurous folks look into places to mount an aftermarket grab bar on the A pillar and/or B pillar?

Nope. Side airbags.
There's other vehicles with grab bars and airbags. For example on the Chevy Silverado the airbag is behind the grab bar and the entire trim piece is tethered to the frame so when it pops open it doesn't become a projectile.
