A2Z replacement adapter

I just received the replacement A2Z adapter. I originally thought they were also going to require return the old adapter. I didn’t see anything in the box suggesting a return. Anyone else returning the adapter? I guess I’ll just keep it as a back up. So now I have three adapters, including the Rivian. The new adapter definitely is more robust. Love the case they provide.

I received mine as well. Their email instructions asked me to disable the old one once they confirmed I was eligible for a new one. Simple procedure, bend some pins with a screw driver.

I received a semi-defective typhoon pro (would not work on all Tesla chargers, just some) and they did not want me to return it as they would have to pay Canadian Customs to re-import it. Don't know if that's true, but that is what they told me.
So just dispose of it, they don't want them back.

We are supposed to bend the pins on the old one to disable it, take a picture of it being disabled, upload the picture so they have proof the recall is completed, then recycle it.

Seems like the least we can do is take 5 minutes to complete the process for them.

Yeah, please complete the process so they can check it off, it's the least we can do after a positive preemptive replacement.

If you do keep it functional, PLEASE don't sell or give it away. The point of the recall is to replace these and get them off the market.

Staples will accept the V1 adapter as part of their e-waste recycling program- I dropped mine off at a local Staples store after bending the pins and emailing the photo to A2Z that it has been recycled.
