ABRP Premium integration.

Woo ABRP is being integrated but I was wondering if us owners would have the freedom of ABRP premium in our vehicle or the app. Does anyone know if this would be possible, I’d really appreciate ABRP premium haha and the features that it holds.

I don't believe ABRP app is being integrated per se but some of the proprietary logic used by ABRP. As such, there would be no concept of ABRP premium as that is a separate product offering from Rivian's vehicle and phone software. Rivian software will gain new capabilities, that's all. Perhaps Rivian will charge us extra for their own "premium" features.

I see, although all the features that premium offers will not be integrated? Like real time traffic etc. I’d say it would be quite helpful with route planning.

It's too early to say what capabilities they will provide for free or fee but, like everything else, I'm sure the feature set will evolve over time. They bought the company and have plans to leverage their IP, but they haven't released a product road map so it's anyone's guess what they will actually deliver.

It’s bound to evolve I’m sure rivian will hone these capabilities given to them and theorize new concepts that would provide us owners a better experience. I haven’t gotten the OVA update yet but I look forward to it.

Would be beneficial for Rivian to provide some premium features to folks who buy it's EV. Alternatively they could offer a free premium sub to ABRP for a few years as an incentive.
