ABS suddenly kicks in while braking

I have had this happen 2x where a car stops suddenly or unepctedly ahead. I start to regen and then move to the brake pedal. To my eye there was plenty of room to manually brake but as soon as i increased pressure and i could feel the brake module, the ABS stopped the truck hard. ive read the threads on this and will hit hazard button next time to mark the event in the log for a SC. Anyone else having the same issue?

You sure it's the ABS and not the AEB? If it's the ABS then maybe you have a mis-calibrated sensor.

Try turning auto braking off and just have it warn you and see if it is better. I have both auto breking and lane keep assist both set to alert no action.

I have AEB turned off, only warning. I have not had a braking event.

Normal behavior, the emergency braking module is taking over the braking pressure so it feels like it's falling away. Just keep pushing it as hard as you need to in order to stop.
