Yes! It "just worked" for me in the Rivian, have been using it for years. Alexa does ask for a pin to open the garage door (don't know if that is required, set it up too long ago).

"Alexa open the right garage door"
"What's your voice code for right garage door opener"
"####"
"Opening hang on ... The right garage door is open"
"Alexa close right garage door"
"Closing hang on... The right garage door is closed"
Yep, it works to close, but for some reason, after I give the PIN to open, she says "garage door is open" but it doesn't open... also the motion lights on the door openers stopped working. I guess I have the wiring wrong or something.

Is your door sensor always showing open? That's my guess. Not sure why that would affect lights (unless they are just burned out). You might also test that the IR detectors reverse the garage door when it is closing.

You mean, like maybe the IR sensors are misaligned? I don't know how to test if the IR detectors reverse the door.

The meross has a magnetic garage door sensor to tell if the door is open or closed. So if they are not aligned the meross will think the door is open. That may be why Alexa says the door is open and doesn't open the door. Usually that sensor is at the top of the garage door on one side.

Then there are usually two safety IR devices at the bottom sides, one transmits IR and the other reads it. If something blocks the beam (like a pet) the door will stop closing. You can test it by starting the door in the open position, then start closing the garage door. While it is closing try and break the beam (like put your foot/leg there) and see if the garage door stops and opens because of that.

Don't close the door in your leg :) If it is working it should immediately stop, don't wait.

That is the "motion" sensor on most garage door openers. i.e. you break the beam the light comes on.

Oh ok, I'll check that out. Thanks!
