Today I was at columbus Ohio Rivian facility. Reported to them that i could not get Alexa volume very loud, or even loud enough to hear and understand .They are now aware of the issue and think somehow the latest update is the culprit. Hopefully it will be fixed soon in a future update.

Same issue, glad it's a known bug now.

Not meant to be an a**hole comment... but the Alexa volume (which is separate from the main volume) is also turned up?

That's the bug. Her voice is tied to the media volume now, but there is an offset.

Theres a couple easy fixes to this... The easiest I found was to activate Alexa/Nav and while it is speaking, turn the volume up on your steering wheel. Must be started and completed during its speaking to take hold.

The Alexa voice volume is just broken on this release. I have found that when using navigation the Alexa volume is louder but if not using navigation or once the trip is over it is too soft. On the volume control there is an Alexa specific control but it is not adjusting the voice volume only the ding volume.

Several people have reported this to Rivian.

Will try it when I get off work.. Been a couple weeks since I used either Alexa or the Nav.

Are you saying the Alexa voice while using a trip in navigation? I find it ok in that scenario and can here the responses.

It is driving without navigation that the Alexa volume is way to soft and cannot be adjusted. I use Alexa a lot adjusting fan speed, temp settings, etc and this issue started with the 2025.10.1 update in my R1S.

Sorry if I’m still missing your point.

I'm saying you can adjust the volume of Alexa/Nav while Alexa/Nav is talking.

If you are looking at the main speedo display, and adjust the volume while it's talking, you will see the volume bar go up/down. If you look in the upper left-hand corner of that screen, it will show you the volume you are adjusting. If it has the arrow, it's the nav. If it's a music bar note, than it's the radio volume, i can't remember what it changes to for Alexa.

Are we talking about the same thing?

You are correct, that is the designed behavior, that is what is broken. The Alexa volume is OK when a navigation route is being run, even for other Alexa responses.

The issue is if there is no navigation route running the Alexa voice is too soft. You can use the Alexa volume adjustment but it only affects the ding sound, not the voice volume. That is the part that broke in the last update.

Same issue for me.

To be clear, this is not related to the ability to adjust the volume of Alexa independently.

It worked fine prior to the update and now after the update, the volume is too low and can't be adjusted much louder.

Clearly a bug in the update, at least for some.
