Alkaline Stains

Sooooo I ran my R1T through some pretty nasty mud after a rainstorm along a trail that went smack though the middle of a dry lake bed. It wasn't until two days later that I got off the trails and made it home and power washed the truck but I noticed that the plastic is stained/etched from the salty watery-mud solutoin that flew all over my truck. Any suggestions on how to get it back to normal? Also I have a lot of mud stains in general on the plastic trim...I do my best to wipe it off or scrub it with soapy water, it looks good for about 60 seconds, then after it dries you can see the discoloration again. Any tips would be appreciated!
