Florida Panhandle resident looking at potential 5+ years from reservation to delivery.
May 6 2019 reservation R1T Adventure Package GW OC 21in Quad Motor, current price $71,500.

Rcvd 12/28/21 Your Adventure Package R1T estimated delivery window is July - September 2022.:like:

Rcvd 10/28/22
Your delivery window estimate is now in your Account. In order to align with the opening of the Rivian Service Center planned in your area, we have had to move your delivery window back.
Account showed delivery window of Jan-Dec 2024.? Then later changed to just 2024 ?

Rcvd 1/31/23
Since providing your delivery window in October, our timing for a Service Center in your area has changed, and your account has been temporarily set to "Processing estimate":headbang:??while we calculate your new delivery estimate. We plan to update your Account with this new delivery timing in April.

Soooo, does anyone have a clue what my "Delivery Window"??will be in April.

Why an Adventure Package instead of a Launch Edition with a May 2019 reservation?

Since I'm in a state they don't seem to be delivering to, yeah, probably. Thanks NC...

Rivian didn't have Launch Edition open for very long. And if you selected an Explore trim to save money, they took that away and didn't give you any other choice.

Fellow panhandle resident here... Shalimar.... I sent Rivian an email about the lack of a plan to service the panhandle when they are putting 5 SC in the peninsula..... Infuriating...

I mistakenly thought that launch green was only available color for LE.

I'm in the same boat. My order date is November 28, 2018. I am in Walton County, Florida which is about as far from a Service Center as one can get. I'm sure they will be opening a Service Center in DeFuniak Springs any day now. I believe I might reach the six year wait mark.

I am going to hang in and not cancel my reservation. I will make them sell my a 2026 R1T at a 2021 price. That is if they ever quit building Service Centers in the Peninsular. and put one out in the Panhandle.

The kicker for me is that I didn't choose launch because I wanted the max pack... you are allowed to point and laugh if you desire haha...

It does seem the Panhandle is getting the short end of the stick. Seems like they could at least get a mobile service tech out there, and then just let anyone know that is going to take a delivery what the situation is before they agree to it.

You would think that more mobile service centers would be a good idea. It appears that Rivian leans more toward big fancy service centers with a floor show and dancing girls. I've seen photos of the service centers. They have couches and lots of fashionable young people to discuss Rivians with potential customers. Rivian could have a lot more service centers if they would do away with all the fluff.

An effective Rivian service center could consist of industrial warehouse space with a couple of lifts, a supply of parts, and a half dozen competent technicians. They could also have a mobile unit or two to do home visits.

Seriously though, you got the worst of both choices. I actually wanted a Max Pack, but only IF it was available at launch (it wasn't). So I chose an LE instead because getting it sooner was more important to me. I figured I would trade it in for a Max pack after driving it for a few years. I'm glad I didn't wait.

@moosetags, you're one of the few orders I don't understand. If you always had an Adventure configured, and never a Max pack, and didn't keep changing your configuration, then I don't understand it. With a non-changing, non-max pack, Adventure order dated 2018 you should have received your truck in 1H22 before the service center locations started to become a huge problem. It wasn't until July that Rivian seemed to give up and say they can't keep shipping to places far from a service center because that was costing them too much money.

We originally ordered an Explore Package R1T. We were forced to change to the Adventure Package as Rivian decided that they were never going to produce the Explore Package. They should have known this from day 2.
