My driver rear door was delivered with some blue plastic wrap from the factory attached to the rubber door gasket, so it was not fully attaching to the door itself. The SC replaced the seal, and within a week it began to pull away form the door. It has now been replaced 2 more times. The line from the SC is that the new seal should work. I have an appointment to have it replaced yet again next week. I assumed there may be an issue with replacement seal adhesive or an issue with the door alignment/the way it closes that puts pressure at an angle the seal was not designed to withstand. But today I opened the front passenger door and noticed that the seal on that door is beginning to peel away. That one has been untouched from the factory.

Has anyone ran into this issue? On the rear door the seal/gasket also holds on the trim that surrounds the window frame on the inside of the door. With the seal slowly falling off, the trim piece sometimes falls off partially.

Is there any known fix besides replacing over and over until one finally sticks? Attached are a pic of the original seal on the rear door with the blue plastic, a pic of the rear door currently with seal #4 and a picture of the passenger front door I just noticed today.

I have not had issues with mine, but yes, there have been others with the same issue you are seeing. I think most are having Rivian fix it, but I recall 1 or 2 who said they took care of it themselves. I have no idea what product they used.

I have the same issue!! Front driver side door seal has started to come off. Thankfully I haven't noticed any water leaking in. I've tried to use come super glue, silicone, and 3m double sided tape to stick it back but nothing sticks!! I think the cold temperatures are playing a role in the poor adhesion. Also the paint is very slick and there really isn't anything for the adhesive to adhere too. I may try a little bit of hot glue or RVT to see if that'll work. If anyone has any other ideas, please let us now.

I've not had that issue, but I've had the rain sloshing in the door issue, which I believe was also seal related. Mobile tech came and fixed that up right away when I requested

I’ve had the same issue with sloshing sounds coming from right side passenger area on and off since I’ve had the rig (Since July 22) but just attributed it to “electric vechicle” being quiet and just hearing everything. It comes and goes so I guess I just kind of let got over it. Appreciate these posts as it helps, but would help myself a lot more if I actually just lookedup the issue next time. Lol.

Bringing this old thread back - I noticed one of the seals on my R1T coming off exactly like this back in August/September. I took it to Rivian, and over the span of a few weeks and a few different visits to the SC, they replaced the seal I think three times. It would start coming off within a few days. After the last attempted fix, the soonest they could get me back in was two months later - which is now. It's been sitting at the SC for a week and a half but they're too busy so they haven't gotten to it yet. I have low expectations, I'm fully expecting them to tell me they solved it, and have it falling off within a few days :(
