My driver rear door was delivered with some blue plastic wrap from the factory attached to the rubber door gasket, so it was not fully attaching to the door itself. The SC replaced the seal, and within a week it began to pull away form the door. It has now been replaced 2 more times. The line from the SC is that the new seal should work. I have an appointment to have it replaced yet again next week. I assumed there may be an issue with replacement seal adhesive or an issue with the door alignment/the way it closes that puts pressure at an angle the seal was not designed to withstand. But today I opened the front passenger door and noticed that the seal on that door is beginning to peel away. That one has been untouched from the factory.
Has anyone ran into this issue? On the rear door the seal/gasket also holds on the trim that surrounds the window frame on the inside of the door. With the seal slowly falling off, the trim piece sometimes falls off partially.
Is there any known fix besides replacing over and over until one finally sticks? Attached are a pic of the original seal on the rear door with the blue plastic, a pic of the rear door currently with seal #4 and a picture of the passenger front door I just noticed today.
