About 2 weeks after taking delivery of my R1T, I started getting some random errors. First it was a “Motor Fault Detected”, then it was “12 volt battery error”, and then I think a Power Steering Error (see pics below). Even though I’ve gotten these error messages, my truck drives fine! And then after I shut down and restart the truck after about half an hour or so, sometimes the “fake” error message is gone! I did do a hard reset once as per the recommendation of the Rivian Customer Service when I called, but these “fake” error messages still reoccur. I do have a pending service appointment scheduled in hopes of checking to see if there is something truly wrong with my truck (I hope not…I love this truck BTW).
So the question is are these “fake” error messages pretty common? Like I stated, my truck drives fine, and these “fake” error messages are very sporadic and usually disappear after just restarting the truck (not even a full hard reset)...but then they come back. I must admit it’s a bit annoying to get these “fake” error messages …I worry if these “fake” error messages may one day become a “real” error message.
