I was hoping that one of the early R2 delivery owners might have gotten the compact spare with their vehicle and could show a few pictures and their impressions of it, and whether they think it was worth the money.

I just got mine installed at service today, forgot to even look at it. I'll try to remember to if no-one else posts about it

The car itself comes with the inflator and sealant kit. I think it's mandatory when there's no spare.

I've seen no proof/confirmation that an inflator is included? Online it doesn't mention an inflator, just that it comes with the jack and chocks. Doesn't mention the full Tire Mobility kit.

Impressed though that the tire is a Vredestein.

Mine had the inflator before they installed the spare tire kit. Seems unlikely that they would do that separately.

I noticed there's still plenty of room under the cover for some more tire change tools I like to carry. I'll probably see if I can fit a real floor jack in the space under the spare, and carry that instead of the scissor jack.

I can't find any page where there is a full list of all standard features

https://rivian.com/support/article/r2-owners-guide - page 96. Usage instructions starting on page 362 are explicit that it includes a compressor.

I definitely have seen a Youtube video where Rivian employee was asked if spare tire was standard. Answer was obviously no but the employee did make a point of stating that inflator kit was standard. Screenshot is of portion of page 96 that a99677 referenced.

If you do need to use this spare, does it deflate back to its original compact size so that it could be stored again? I know it's probably only built for a certain amount of miles. But if you only use it for a short trip to the tire shop or service center, can you get more than one use out of it? If not, is it built so just the tire on it can be replaced?

I also have the same question with these tiny spares that expand when inflated.

After seeing the photos, I am not sure I'm willing to give up my entire subtrunk for the spare. My last two cars (Model Y, R1S) didn't come with a spare.

Deflates right back to the size it started at. Caveat being that I never drove on the one in my R1S at all, but it's been inflated several times as demonstration.
