App showing only "Close Windows" should be fixed by next OTA

My "Vent Windows" button in the mobile app has been offline for about a week now. Shows only "Close Windows" button highlighted, whether the windows are open or closed. Tapping the button shows, "Connecting...", "Closing..."—at this point it will close the windows if they were open—it continues to show "Closing..." for 5-10s longer, and then the app shows "Couldn't close" with a red triangle on the button.

  • I tried force-quitting the app and rebooting the truck's displays. No change in behavior.
  • Service asked me to reboot the truck. Did that, no change.
  • Service asked me to uninstall and re-install the app (and re-login, and re-pair the phone as key). Did that, no change.
  • Service asked if I had recalibrated the windows; I said I hadn't, and did not know how to. Service decided not to have me do that. (I've since done it; no change).
  • Service person asked me to reboot the truck again (!?) and then before I did that they checked with a manager and then said that this is a known issue that will be addressed in the next OTA. I asked for an OTA ETA, and after checking with the manager came back to say they don't get advance notice of OTAs. (AKA: We're not supposed to tell dates to customers.)
So, hoping the next update comes soon, so I can vent my windows again.

Just started happening for me as well. If I manually open the windows inside and then hit “close windows” from the app, they’ll close but still throw an error.

This has always been the case for me too, mine tells me to do window calibration but I haven't taken the time to try that.

Mine was fixed after doing the calibration. Haven't had to do it since.

I had to take mine to the service center, where they fixed it. Now it's doing it again. :mad:

I had had this bug on and off since receiving my vehicle over a year ago - at least since they enabled the feature in the app. The only thing that finally resolved it was having the service center properly calibrate the windows. The service tech said they have a lot more adjustments they can make on their end than the simple button calibration.

Same here. Noticed it right after the app updated to v1.11. Same issue for v1.12. Will see if the next OTA fixes this. Not a first world problem for me 😉

Same here. The vent windows feature in the app used to work, but hasn't worked on my truck in months. I have a ticket open and have tried multiple steps to fix the problem, but no resolution yet.

Unfortunately the latest 10.1 update didn't resolve this issue 🤷‍♂️

I’ve had the same issue happen recently also. Truck is at the SC right now. I’ve been checking the app every now and then to see if the error is gone. But it’s still there. So either they haven’t worked on it or they haven’t fixed it.

I tried resetting/recalibration the windows after the latest Jun update. Still not resolved yet in the app. No issues closing from inside the truck. 🤷‍♂️
