My "Vent Windows" button in the mobile app has been offline for about a week now. Shows only "Close Windows" button highlighted, whether the windows are open or closed. Tapping the button shows, "Connecting...", "Closing..."—at this point it will close the windows if they were open—it continues to show "Closing..." for 5-10s longer, and then the app shows "Couldn't close" with a red triangle on the button.
- I tried force-quitting the app and rebooting the truck's displays. No change in behavior.
- Service asked me to reboot the truck. Did that, no change.
- Service asked me to uninstall and re-install the app (and re-login, and re-pair the phone as key). Did that, no change.
- Service asked if I had recalibrated the windows; I said I hadn't, and did not know how to. Service decided not to have me do that. (I've since done it; no change).
- Service person asked me to reboot the truck again (!?) and then before I did that they checked with a manager and then said that this is a known issue that will be addressed in the next OTA. I asked for an OTA ETA, and after checking with the manager came back to say they don't get advance notice of OTAs. (AKA: We're not supposed to tell dates to customers.)
