I surmise it is some sort of Apple thing. Would not know. Nothing but Android and x86 machines for me forever, both THE real deal. You don’t know what playcar is?!
Apple made many x86 machines, though. Like 15 years worth lolI surmise it is some sort of Apple thing. Would not know. Nothing but Android and x86 machines for me forever, both THE real deal.
I suppose that is why apple computers are relegated to a niche market, and reason why the glorious x86 machines rule the PC market worldwide by a landslide. It ain't even close.Apple made many x86 machines, though. Like 15 years worth lol
I wouldn’t call 25% of the global market “niche”, especially when it’s 58% to 42% in favor of Apple in the US market.Likewise, apple phones are also a niche market considering the massive, much higher market share for the great Android phones.

I've worked with Windoze professionally in software development and systems integration since version 1.0 when it loaded under DOS and you could count the mouse lag time in seconds, lol. It's been, and continues to be, a hot mess ever since. Windoze 11 still contains some Windows 7 UI/UX, Microsoft is too lazy to clean up everything. They change UI/UX when sales and marketing decides it is time to rejuvenate sales, not because it offers a better experience. I use MacOS and Linux at home - because I've had my fill of Microsoft headaches and arbitrary whims at work.I wouldn’t call 25% of the global market “niche”, especially when it’s 58% to 42% in favor of Apple in the US market.
And the only reason to buy an x86 machine is to gut it & install Linux. Windows is by far the worst operating system in the world.
I absolutely love this analogy from years ago:

Likewise, apple phones are also a niche market considering the massive, much higher market share for the great Android phones. But hey, anybody who wants to pay a ton for either apple product just for the sake of having a 'manzanita' logo, go right ahead, lol.
But, hey, don't take my word for it. Do your own research.

…with practically no apps…I personally prefer a well thought out infotainment
The RISC architecture is going to change everything."Nothing but x86 machines for me forever".
