Apple Music completely broken?

it seems I’m not the only one—Apple Music worked a handful of times when it first rolled out, but each time only after a reset until I parked the car.

It hasn’t worked even minimally in weeks, even after multiple resets/reboots.

Mine freezes or spins almost daily now when I try to play music. I had to go back to Spotify for my sanity.

I think your anger and narrow view of what an “engineer” is clouds you. If you want “real talk.”

Plus my comment was that you won’t have issues with Apple Music on CarPlay. Other manufactures have pulled off their own system and CarPlay. Maybe they are just super awesome at integrating stacks lol.
Nobody's angry, you're just spouting off about things you clearly have real world experience with. Clearly I touched a nerved, are you ok?

But, what do I know, I only worked on the Apple iOS for 5+ years and have pretty consistent issues with Apple Music in my Taycan w/ CarPlay. But yeah, you're probably right, if Rivian had CarPlay it would "just work" because it's so easy to integrate

I was not an Apple Music subscriber before the Rivian integration... been using the Free Trial period to give it a try. No joy! Just canceled the trial subscription - just don't see any advantage over Spotfiy and too buggy on the Rivian for consistent ease of listening.
Same - also was a new Apple Music user. I like the Dolby Atmos, but the constant volume changes drive me nuts. I was also having the no content error message intermittently. Cancelled my Apple Music and won't miss it - I prefer Spotify's algorithm anyways.

Your post history is wild. Go outside man, you own a Rivian, you're supposed to like being outside.

Cheers all. Got my truck back from service after 4 week. Before I dropped it off Apple Music stopped work. Figured it will fix after an update. Got it back (after tonneau install and few adjustments), ran the most recent update. And still Apple Music is completely inop. Select song or playlist and it just spins as if it’s trying to start to play and doesn’t. Reset. Log out and in. None of the basic fixes worked. Any tricks before I submit to Rivian?

Mine worked great when the app first rolled out, and caused me to subscribe. But then it broke with OTA .35, and is still broken to this day. Interestingly, it plays the "live" radio-style stations, and allows me to search and select songs completely as normal, but when I try to play a song it spins and won't play.

After I reported this a few weeks back, Rivian scheduled a mobile service appointment tomorrow specifically to see if they can do something to fix it (although I don't know what. Maybe the mobile service tech can reinstall just this particular app?). Obviously if this doesn't fix it I'm cancelling the subscription.

As of a few days ago Apple Music no longer loads for me. I tried a soft reset and it didn't do anything. Spotify still works. I have a service appointment today (unrelated) and I plan to ask about this as well.
