we have reluctantly made the financial decision to part with our new R1T. I posted a marketplace thread, went to edit a misspelling, and see it locked immediately.

Is this just a temporary thing until a mod can verify my post is legit? Is discussion not allowed on listing in rivianforums?

Thanks

Man.. if you're not even going to drive it then nothing has changed between what you know now and what you knew before delivery, so.. in before locking to express frustration at people that should have known they didn't want the truck but took it anyway and thus someone else has to wait longer, all so the original taker can scrape a quick buck.

Capitalism hard at work :sigh:

I went to comment on it and I couldn't! what a shame. Hopefully Rivian isn't strongarming the forum admins to stop people from immediate resale.

There’s always going to be flippers. And always people with money to overpay to jump the line.

Well, right, it is capitalism. i cant justify keeping it with how resale is. which kills me, as its a fantastic car. For (years, literally!) I've had that printed "canvas" picture Rivian mailed us all hung in my office. I dont enjoy driving my old truck.

I bought it with the intent to keep it, things change. i wish you the best driving yours, as i WILL be quite jealous.

As to not driving it. Have you SEEN the reviews? no way i would be able to make this decision after i go to Fruta this summer, or even just floor it on an on-ramp. If you don't agree with that... to each his own.

I love the ā€œpoor meā€ feel of the post.

ā€œLive with the disappointment, and $5-$7+ diesel.ā€ Oh, and have an extra $60k while waiting for my next R1T (which is already on order)
