Spoke with my Rivian Guide, Hossain today. He said I was his first R1S customer. Said I was one of the first few hundred preorders (11/28/18). He told me once I confirm everything it will 6-12 weeks. He thought I would be closer to 6 six weeks, which puts me at the end of May. He said there is not a final R1S owner’s manual and they cannot delivery any R1Ss until they have an owner’s manual.
I am getting very excited.

That is crazy.

I am not a technical writer but probably more than half of the R1T manual will be the same for the R1S. They “delivered” the first 2 R1S vehicles in December, why would it take 5 months to write half of a user manual.

I’ve scanned through the R1T manual several times, it simply is not that detailed that would make me think it would take that long to create.

Just completed a first mile drive. Was everything we expected and more.

It was only 80 degrees out, however the glass roof performed very well. Forgot there was a glass roof for half the drive until I looked up.

Also live in AZ but no luck yet. I saw the truck in person in California but did not have a chance to drive it. What do you think about the road noise with the all terrain tires?

Did not notice any road noise. Drove it on the street in a construction zone and on the highway and did not hear much road noise. In my current Nissan Frontier I can hear a ton of noise in that same area for reference.

Well, making progress on getting my Rivian.

I was in south Chandler (Queen Creek and McQueen) this afternoon around 5:00 pm and saw a Rivian Blue R1T. Anyone in this forum?

I saw the vehicle approaching from behind and knew instantly what was about to pass me. It was an encouraging moment.

I live in central Phoenix (about 4 miles north of downtown) and just noticed a First Mile Drive calendar notification in my Rivian account. Only available dates are 5/20 and 5/21 and I will unfortunately be out of town. I'm so bummed. Hope others locally can take advantage. My R1T reservation was made 8/2020 and my R1S reservation was made 11/2021 for reference.

I watch this thread and each time a notification comes up and I see Rivian my heart skips a beat. haha
