I've posted about how scratch-prone the bronze trim is before.

I normally try to ignore the minor cosmetic scratches that are part of life, but it's really hard to ignore because the base layer under the matte bronze is actually mirror chrome. It's the most reflective surface in the car and makes it impossible to unsee:

I think this is similar to how Apple's use of dark-color anodizing on their Aluminum products always look scratched up, because the base layer underneath is bright-metal colored and make even tiny scratches stand out more.

Does anyone have a good way to hide these, or just make them lower contrast? I've taken to dabbing them with a black sharpie marker, and then quickly wiping it away - the sharpie marks come off the bronze pretty easily, but if you do it just right, enough catches inside the scratch to darken the chrome underneath and somewhat hide the scratch/flake:

It's not perfect but it's a lot less noticeable. But I'm hoping there's a better way.
