I used the Cerakote last time around and after 2 months or so, it is no longer as nice looking than when I first applied it. I used about 4-5 wipes to do the entire truck, are those of you who swear by it using more than that or less? Just curious if I didn't apply enough product to the trim.

I third or fourth this recommendation. I started getting those white-wash stains after 18 months / 32k-ish miles, and after a deep clean and applying these, it's maintained a dark/wet appearance for the last 8 months. Unsure how many I used, but I wash weekly, and have been in the moist PNW which probably prolongs.

It got real dusty not long after coating, and that dirt/dust rinsed right off. Muddy, snow covered, ice etc all winter, sheds like my old husky mix.

Meguiars black trim treatment works but like all coatings the surface must be clean first. Has anyone compared this to any other?

Just ordered the Cerakoat wipes for the trim. Thank you for the link. Do you use them on the tires as well? If not, what do you like? We're LA Silver with all black 20's and my wife wants the black to be black...

Cerakote is for plastic trim only. Don't use it on your tires.

I use the Cerakote and love it I used all 8 wipes and did the wheel wells as well. My main reasoning is the UV protection it gives. I think Project farm on youtube did a bunch of testing and this one won out on protection and it doesn't get much easier to use.

I use this for treating the trim and it works great. I don't know if it lasts longer than what you're using but it's really easy to apply and gets rid of stubborn dirt and grime after a wash.

Thank you for this reply! I hope the spray you use is not as runny as mine. It's like you have to spray and then quickly catch it before it runs down and then there is the muscle power to buff it in. Hard to keep the spray off the paint! -RivianMom

SO good to know! YES UV protection is huge...I think that is a big key in that plastic turning "whiter".
