When I'm listening to a poscast on Spotify and the turn-by-turn voice comes on it drowns out the podcast forcing me to rewind. The audio should pause while directions are being given. Simple fix that would be a great help

What happens now is called "ducking" in the audio world - lowering of one audio source's volume level to allow another one to be heard.

I think the reason why ducking is used as opposed to pausing/unpausing is that different sources in the vehicle may not respond to pause/play commands very well - some Bluetooth devices can act funky with pause/play commands happening in rapid succession, for example.

And if you are listening to radio, pausing is impossible. So having all the audio sources behave the same way (ducking instead of pausing) is preferable.

I find it way more ducking annoying that audio ducks for way longer than needed when using navigation chime vs voice. Especially in rapid succession. Anecdotally, it almost feels like the chime duck is the same duration as the voice duck.

I never use the voice for directions. Find it annoying, just look at the map if I don’t know where I am going

I almost always have it turned all the way off. It's rare I miss a turn.

One of the FIRST things I do in every car I've owned with it is turn off the Navigation voice as I don't need another nag in my life nagging away at me.

One benefit to this is that the audio NEVER dims.
