Does anyone have issues where your car will not load music after it goes to sleep?

I mainly use the TuneIn app and most the time after the cars falls asleep and I get back into the car it will not load music automatically. I usually have to pick another channel or audio source and go back to my original to get it to play.

I haven't had this issue, but I rarely use TuneIn. Does this happen when using other audio sources?

TuneIn is our main audio source. I can experiment a little bit.
I believe we also saw the issue with Amazon music this weekend.
We don’t use Spotify much because it’s setup on a shared account and we don’t have a Tidal account

Do you have multiple profiles in your car? My test with Spotify this morning paused the music every time I switched profiles. My wife and I constantly switch who is using the car and it’s right next to the house so constantly unlocks from our phones. I wonder if the issue is switching profiles.

I have had this issue off and on forever. I mostly use Bluetooth. Reported to Rivian, no resolution.

Finally found a use case for Alexa:
1. Press and hold steering wheel button, “switch to FM Radio.”
2. Press and hold steering wheel button, “switch to Bluetooth.”

Guessing whether or not your "premium streaming apps experience" will load properly before you get in is part living adventurous, my friend.

Four things that would solve this issue:

1. U
2. S
3. B
4. Playback

Bitter snark aside, I have the same problem occasionally with Spotify. Switching sources generally fixes it. So far.

I have to double-tap the station icon to get Tune-In to start playing again. Never thought of it as a big deal.

I have this experience with the FM radio. I listen to it often and when I get back into the car I have to sometimes “jog” it into action by touching the audio menu and then the FM radio icon at which point it wakes back up. For me this is fine since the radio works and it just behaves like it was turned off and I have to turn it back on.

Same happens with Spotify but that seems more related to my iPhone where I have to unlock my phone and pull up the app and then it starts up again - to be clear I use Spotify on the iPhone via Bluetooth.
