I use it all the time and after 26k miles there hasn't been any noticeable tire wear caused by the lower ride height.
Thats good, because it resets to default after 4 hours now, and you will spend a lot of time in "low" if you don't manually switch it back. When on road trip, I always switch it back to standard and turn off auto.

I have used auto since day one and have zero wear issues with my tires.

Normally I drive in All Purpose/standard mode. It was a windy day and on the highway the R1S experienced a lot of turbulence. I switched to Auto Mode so it automatically switches to the “Low” suspension setting around 65 mph. This really helps on windy days improving the aerodynamics and stability. For many of you, this will be a helpful reminder, and for new owners, it’s useful information to keep in mind.
It lowers when you exceed about 55mph for more than 40 seconds or so....

I primarily use "all purpose" auto, but do like to go to all-purpose high when i'm just driving locally for a day or more (I just go back to "auto" if I plan to hit the highway).......I just passed 35K on my original AT 20s. with no issues. Will be replacing them at about 40K.

I’m not sure, its been a while since I used auto mode.
At least for Gen2 with the latest software updates you see forced into all purpose mode with auto ride height after each drive.

It shouldn't result in more tire wear ...IF....the vehicle is aligned correctly. This is a known issue with Rivian R1 vehicles is that alignment can be off and even after alignment by SC the alignment sometimes isn't correct.

With that said, I use it sometimes and I manually hit auto when I want to use it. Sometimes because the ride is harsh in the low ride height on anything but buttery smooth highway. My wife doesn't do road trips with the low ride height...said she had a concussion from her head bouncing off the head rest ?
