So I’m on the R2 waiting list, but seeing as I just put the deposit down on May of 26, I’m seriously considering getting an R1T on lease because my guess is I’m well over a year before I’d see an R2.
Back to the main question. So I’d be looking at getting an R1 dual or dual standard. If I enter my zip code, there are no R1T standards, but if I enter somewhere else, I see several. Can I not order one of those? Can I only buy one that is near me? Why am I seeing different options?

side note, I’m looking a current inventory because if I custom build one, it doesn’t include the $3000 incentive. Thank in advance and sorry, I’m a newcomer To Rivian and this forum, but this site has been SO helpful. .

You should be able to order ones that you find in other zip codes, but you may have to pay an additional shipping fee depending on how far away it is from you, and how it would be shipped.

If you find something that matches what you want for a $$$ you like, start off the purchase process and see what the sales process takes you through. Nothing is final until you sign the purchase agreement, and if I recall the initial deposit can be moved between vehicles (R1Ts anyway) if it needs to be.

Getting something thru current inventory, even if it's far away from you is almost always gonna be faster than a custom build.

100% agree with the previous reply...would encourage you to connect with a sales advisor and they can help too. We worked with a great sales rep out of Miami...feel free to DM me and happy to share his contact info if you are still in the market
