This feature is very annoying when backing a trailer down a boat launch. I personally cant rely on the cams. I need to physically look back to see which way the hitch is pointing. That involves undoing by seatbelt and lifting my arse off the seat. It is annoying and embarrassing to have the vehicle slam into park half way down the ramp.
If you must...
Either pull a bit of slack into your seatbelt so you can lift/turn, or buckle the seatbelt behind you.

I do that when I'm backing the trailer down the ramp, just be sure to unbuckle it afterwards or the truck won't go to sleep. Learned that one the hard way ?

Happened once to me backing out of a tight space. I thought the truck thought I was too close to something. I don’t remember lifting my rear but that might have been it.
It is lifting off the seat that causes it.
