No explanation on why it is taking 12-14 weeks to process the paperwork for the title.
perhaps it is my early Memorial Day Weekend day-drinking today but maybe Rivian doesn't want anyone to quickly flip a vehicle and can conveniently blame everyone's hated DMV?

Maaaan, Rivian getting a pass for being the 1st EV truck to market, new manufacturer, you name it, it is wearing really thin...call me be negative (I'd like to say realist) but this shouldn't be the experience for 80k vehicle...just sayin....

Yes I have Vehicles
Yeah. I have had issues with MD after me for unisured vehicle that was stripped down for restoration and off the road. At this point I had to give my lawyer a heads up on it. If I get hit with fines because of it, I am in for a fight with Rivian.
You live in DC... and have an understanding of the Bureaucracy there and are upset? (jk) I'm sure the locals aren't making it easy for Rivian. I'm not saying that Rivian has their stuff together but I'd guess that your locals are taking a "fresh look" at any and all the transactions from Rivian. Just to protect you :) so hang in there it's all in the name of your best interests. I've had to force transfer in a couple of instances where I know the other party completed the transaction. But I kept getting Toll violations

FWIW I haven't received my plates in MN yet either and didn't do a trade. But perhaps DC is different, but here the DMV isn't about timeliness or getting things done. I've had several things held up by the DMV here and only found out when I reached out after to much time passed. No attempts to notify me by email/phone or snail mail all of which were provided to the DMV here.

I purposely decided not to transfer my tags for this reason. Maryland has some hefty fines for not having insurance on a car that is tagged. I turned in my tags and then canceled the insurance on my trade in to avoid these issues.
It took them seven weeks to get my tags and it appears that they outsourced it to a company called General Systems Solutions.
Same - never like the idea transferring plates to a new car and trusting it will all work out. Unless you have a vanity plate you are married too, seems not worth it.

Not registration related.... but for the second day in a row I got the "sign your Finance Agreement" email (step 6) which I already did a week ago. I'm done through step 8 with delivery tomorrow.

I called the Rivian hotline again (since my guide has yet to answer a call or return a voicemessage) and they said to just ignore it. Same answer I got yesterday when the first duplicate email arrived.

Just not a positive sign to me.
Congrats on the truck... cant wait to see pics.

I'm at step 8 and my guide has been extremely in communication. I have had 4 texts today and also from the Rivian delivery folks. I hope to get mine next week. My experience has been stellar so far. It has been less than a month but I pre-ordered over two years ago. I hope my great service continues. -Drew

I got a notice I needed to sign my finance agreement even though it appeared I had completed every step online. My guide mentioned there was an additional one only sent by email. Sure enough, there was another set. It was almost the same as the first set. If I remember right, it had something to do with the digital signature.

We received CA Registration/plates in 7 days. Way too soon for me to put plates on a new car. ?
