Yesterday my vehicle SOC was 80%. The set limit is 80% and I charged Friday/Saturday, and unplugged Saturday morning. This morning the vehicle states 81.6% (82%). Has anyone experienced a rising SOC?
Is it colder this morning than it was yesterday? Around the end of last year the battery capacity got much more dynamic seemly mostly driven by temperature. As the temperature drops so does the exposed battery addressable capacity, which means your SoC is effectively higher. This new BMS behavior came in at the end of last year, and was really pronounced when the update that enabled it was installed, confusing a load of us: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/...rge-dropped-with-new-update.37795/post-686944
It's normal. Here is my SOC last night as logged by Home Assistant, not plugged in.
And if anyone is wondering what it was doing at 3 AM, here ya go, partial detail log from my Firewalla. Sure is chatty, there's some of the vampire drain....
