I put mine in a mesh pouch and store that in the charging accessory case. There's space in there and, well, the adapter is another charging accessory

For me, it was less about the padding and more about keeping junk out of the plugs.

Great case, I bought three for my two Ford and one Rivian adapters but it is cheaper to purchase at their web site, $50.97 for three with free shipping and for some reason no sales tax.

I use this in the driver's door pocket, with the adapter and other things I reach for regularly, but not exactly all the time, if that makes sense.

I put the adapter into the bag that the Rivian Wall Charger came in. Fits snugly even with my tesla tap mini. Everything is together in one place and doesn't take up any additional space.
