What's the screen protector attraction?

With matte finish it cuts down on reflections and hides dirty fingerprints. And yes, as @Mark_AZR1T said, might just prevent a gouge, scratch or crack in that expensive screen.
Don’t plan to do the driver screen but will do the main and back seat.
Being from Seattle you may forget that the sun sometimes shines brightly. ?

Never had a glare/reflection issue. Don’t even notice any fingerprints. Haven’t cleaned it yet which I probably should
