Well, it happened. Truck slid backwards into my parked R1T at the ski area. Dented the tailgate and rear quarter panel. Anyone have experience with any of the Rivian certified body shops along the northern end of the Colorado front range?

When I needed some damage repaired I went to the shop I have used in the past for an estimate. They said nope we aren't certified yet. However, they recommended Stuttgart in Arvada. Said if their own vehicle needed work that they couldn't do that's where they would take it. Pretty strong recommendation I thought. I ended up going there and was extremely satisfied with the service and work done. Not exactly close to you but my experience was worth the ~100 miles drive.

The thing you hope never happens - an accident.

Context: My car was hit by another driver. It was a 3 car accident. A small SUV hit a tradesman van which bumped into me.
I contacted Rivian and was given the names of two 'certified' repair shops. Apparently there is but one 'certified' body shop in NoCo for Rivian. Ozzie's. The other location is in Loveland. Given that I live in Berthoud, I put my car in at Ozzie's.

Here's my experience thus far.
I believe the shop is run by the daughter of the original owner. She relies heavily on Paul the adjuster to work with clients. They try to set the expectation that you'll be responsible for 20% of the repair, even if you are not at fault. I wasn't having any of that and have been adamant about them working with the insurance company.
It has been a fight thus far with the owner and adjuster insisting that I agree to being responsible for a portion of the repair ...even to extend that they've refuse to work on the car (holding it hostage). The repair began beginning of February (It's May 17th). Out of frustration, the Progressive adjuster told me that I needed to get my Insurance company involved, and my company's adjuster found a number non-standard charges and issues that the other insurance company's adjuster overlooked. Some of these items have been conceded by the shop others remain to be negotiated. My RIvian is about finished. So, I'll know shortly. If this goes south, I'll post the final details here. If it really goes south - well ...Rivian will get an earful.

How did it go - sounds bad enough from what you shared already to avoid them. I my R1T just got hail damage some I am starting to look at shops though I have yet to file a claim.

Sorry to hear about your hail damage.

A number of things were working against the repair of my R1S. First, everything is OEM. There are no 3rd party parts mfgs - for anything. So, replacement parts are expensive. Rivian doesn't make (or didn't at the time) 'quarter panels', only full side panels. Expensive.
The biggest thing working against the cost of repair was Ozzie's itself. My wife's a local, and Ozzie's reputation was pretty well known - business ethics-wise. They do good work, but are a bit loose on the honesty part. Over billing on hours, even changing the number of hours when there was an insurance company change. Thankfully, the adjuster at my insurance company was like a dog on a bone. She found a number of over/double-billed items, charges for parts that weren't ordered because the original parts were undamaged and useable. etc...
Aside from the cost related issues, Ozzie's will hold your vehicle 'hostage'. I have multiple vehicles so the tactic didn't work on me. I brought the car in Feb 2025 and didn't get it back until late May/early June.

I'd stay clear of Ozzie's (Loveland). See my notes on my experience. While they did good work, their business office is not easy to work with, nor are their business practices acceptable.
