Finally received my plates and installed the BuiltRight front license plate holder. It's well made. Sturdy and the plastic bits are robust. Instructions were non existent, though, and finding the sweet spot between the sensors was an exercise in trial and error. I recommend it.

The instructions are on the product page on the installation tab. Basically a video instruction.

Looks great! I have yet to install mine. R1S is currently in the shop getting all the delivery day items knocked out.

I love mine too but I agree 100% that finding the sweet spot is a massive test of patience. 1 mm to the left or right makes all the differance. I was ready to throw it in the trash and tried one more tiny adjustment and it worked.

It could have been engineered a little better so that you don't have to take the whole thing apart and start over just to make minor adjustments. Being able to adjust it with the plate still on with a wing nut on the back (or something) would have made it much easier.

This. Definitely this. Taking it fully apart was the painful part.

I hadn't seen that one. It's a lot more money with the backing plate, and I don't like that the plate doesn't secure with a screw (just a pressure fit). But it seems easier to find the sweet spot, so there's that!
Seems the BuiltRight one is a bit more securely fastened. The Brain Exploder one would be good if you need to quickly remove the license plate for any reason (like if you need to access the tow hook).

I have this one. It’s really easy to install had no issues with the sensor. It’s a little wobbly if you shake it. Theres a safety screw that can be used in addition to the snap fit.
