Camp Speaker Replacement Battery?

The camp speaker is super finicky as we know. Now it appears my battery is gone, as I can use it fine while plugged in with USB-C but goes dead instantly when unplugged despite multiple factory resets and long charge sessions with multiple plugs.

The speaker warranty is one of the shortest of any of the vehicle components (2 years), and mine is out. I searched but haven't found much information on anyone replacing the battery or the speaker as a whole.

I know many have just given up on the speaker, or use it as a desktop speaker while plugged in, but wondering if anyone has been able to go the replacement route?

Mine works great, I like it a lot. The cells in it are 99% likely to be common units like a battery of 18650 cells. Should be easy to replace. If this is something you don't want to try, I'd be happy to get yours, try it, and send it back. It would be a fun project and I'll do a video on it. I'm well equipped for electronics repair. Of course, I cannot guarantee success but these things are normally just common generic parts.

Someone made a teardown/gut-out post. That should give you an idea what it takes to get to the battery. Then, it’s a matter of ID’ing the battery and figuring out what’s compatible. Worth the time? Depends on who you ask. There are some camp speaker on eBay. Since I don’t use mine, if it dies, I’d just replace it with a lockable drawer. It might be possible to jump the battery and revive it to take charge again. But you have to have access to the terminals. I’ve done this in the past with dead cordless tool batteries.

Pretty far down this rabbit hole - I doubt I will ever get out successfully so I ordered a drawer today. Here are some photos of the cells. I am not familiar with them.

That's interesting that it uses 26650 batteries instead of 18650 batteries in the battery pack.

https://www.batteriesinaflash.com/amfile/file/download/file/443/product/17051/ looks to be a data sheet on the battery cells in the pack. If you had the ability to spot weld tabs onto individual cells, you could replace the cells inside the pack.

Looking at the details on the label on the battery pack, here's some of that translated with Google Translate. The text above the "do not trash" symbol is some safety warnings ("do not disassemble , put in fire or water, etc..."). I did find a TK Energy company with google, but it seems like a different company than would make a battery pack like this. The line of Chinese text above TK Energy Solutions translates as "Manufacturer: Tianchen Kaitu New Energy (Nanjing) Co., Ltd."

The text at the top left of the label translates as "Car audio battery pack".

Interesting details, but I didn't really find something that looked like you could order a ready-made battery pack.
