Let's just say someone is impatient(me). And has maybe some extra cash (me). Is this doable? Or is it like Tesla where unless it's transfered to immediate family members there's nothing you can do. Juuuuust curious.

Maybe you could purchase someone's online LE configuration account. Edit the name, configuration and the delivery address the way you want. I don't know this would work, or if it's ethical, but I'm not seeing a problem, as long as both parties are satisfied and it causes no problem on Rivian's end. There could be a problem after a Guide contact though.

As others have said, the agreement between the pre-order holder and Rivian forbids the transfer without their express consent.
That being said, you absolutely can transfer it whenever you like; I already have. Granted, it was from my wife to me, but I changed every aspect of the account: name, phone number, email address, physical address, payment information, password, you name it. I even had to chat with CS to change some info (email address in the early days of the account) and they never once asked a single question about why or who.

Maybe I'll try this. I would prefer to be the first titled person on the vehicle than buy it and retitle it.

I just hope Rivian strictly prohibits this unless the transfer is between immediate family members. I don't want to see what happened to gaming console / graphics card / sneakers.

Why does it matter to you? How does this materially affect your life?

You put your deposit in 2 weeks ago. Others have been patiently waiting 3 years. You want to flash some money and buy your way to the front of the line. I find that offensive, unfair, and a douchey move. Others may or may not feel the same. You're also trying to intentionally skirt an explicit prohibition in the terms set forth by Rivian, which were put in place exactly to prevent this type of uncouth behavior. While it doesn't materially effect me, it is certainly off-putting, and a strange way to introduce yourself to a new community.

The vast majority of participants in this forum are friendly, helpful, mature, and conversationally engaging, which is what makes it a nice place to hang out.
