Card keys can't be assigned or reactivated

Ran into a weird issue with the card keys.

They show up under my main driver profile in the mobile app, but not in the vehicle (vehicle only shows PaaK active for the profile). Still, the cards worked to unlock and allow drive.

Until...

I tried deactivating and re-activating the keys in the app, and although the app allowed it, the vehicle no longer responds to either of the card keys.

Rivian remote-activated one of the keys for me. The other disappeared from my app and I can no longer activate it. But the reactivated key behaves as before. It again unlocks the car, but is locked to my primary profile, and it doesn't honor reassigning to a new profile even if the app allows it.

I've done infotainment resets and vehicle resets, and have a service appointment in January to address. Until then, hoping someone has some info on what might be happening though.

I have something similar. I have four key cards, which all show up in the app and work correctly to unlock or start the car, but only two show up in vehicle settings, and the car ignores signing them to different profiles. I tried deactivating one (per another thread on how to get the key fob to pair), and while that solved my key fob issue, I now can’t get that key card to work. I can reactivate it in the all, but the vehicle doesn’t show it any more and the card doesn’t work.
Just contacted Rivian service.

Interestingly, assigning keys to other profiles finally started working for me yesterday, out of the blue. This was before I got the 2025 update, so I have to see if it still works ;)
