Changing Driver to Owner

Hi, not sure where to put this and I have not found the answer in the user guide or anywhere else online. Anyway, when I was initially set up with my Gen 2 R1T in November, I was set up as the Owner and my wife was set up as a Driver. Is there a way to change my wife to an Owner as well? Really didn't think anything of it at the time, however I realized that if something happens to me, she will not be able to add drivers or other things. She is listed on the registration of the vehicle with me and was always listed on the order page as a secondary owner.

I’m sure Rivian should be able to help with that.

Technically though it is not a big deal. As long as she has access to your account she can do anything you can do. I just make sure my wife knows how to get in to all of my accounts just in case….

Yeah, she has access to all my accounts, but I'd just like her to be able to handle it on her own app. Looks like a call/email to Rivian will need to be done.

I don't think you can have more than one owner account. At least, they specifically used to restrict it in the past.

You can only have one owner at a time. Rivian needs to switch the owner, I believe.

These folks are correct I actually went through this with the R1 S my wife is the owner but initially they had me as the owner on my account you need to reach out to Rivian and they will put in a request to change the ownership in their system. When the ownership change happens, you will lose all access to the vehicle as well. Any other drivers that you granted access to except for your wife.

make sure you carry the key cards because it will take Rivian time to process this and they may do it at an inconvenient time. When they do phone as a key is also lost and will need to be reset up so if your wife was at the office like mine was when the change happened and you don’t have a key card or fob is a back up that could be a very frustrating situation

I believe it took about a week for them to make the switch.

Along this same line, only the person designated as the "owner" can access the vehicle's charging history. What kind of stupid crap it that?

I am having difficulty with this with the new digital key. I am the "owner" for both of our vehicles because that is how they set it up at pickup.

With the new digital key only the owner can send keys to others. Looks like still no way to designate more that one owner?!? (I mean it is like living under ancient roman law - only the paterfamilas may own!)

Send via a trouble ticket? Any other ideas?
