Changing homes - home location

We are staying at new place that also has a garage. How do I get the car to stop unlocking and locking in this new location?

Set it as your home location. Change the setting to lock only at home.

If it's garaged at this location, turn on Camp Mode to disable proximity locking and unlocking. If you want to leave it unlocked in the garage, but not have the handles presenting, turn on car wash mode too.

Who's going to turn on camp mode and car wash mode every time they park in their garage?

Rivian has a specific setting for your home. If it is parked in your garage, simply set it as your home location. You can have it unlocked all the time (or locked) and it shouldn't keep changing every time you walk near it.

Am I missing something?

I have my home set up and the car does not lock and unlock with proximity. I am a klutz and slam my arms against the handles when I walk by, so I will try the camping mode, but it is a pain to set that every time I park in the garage.

OP said they were staying at a new place. Home location is somewhere else so proximity settings treats this second home as it does any other location other than home so it will trigger when phone or fob is within range. This is a work around until Rivian can add additional “home” locations.
