I had this same problem shortly after mine was delivered. I could manually close the door and it would work some times and not others. Service replaced a clip and it has worked fine since then.

I suspect a worm gear is pulling it in, and that cam path is turning the door as it is pulled in by the internal worm gear.

I would try to lock and unlock it and then press the button for the door again. I have had to do this with the tonneau to get it to awaken.
