My charging pad always worked pretty well since I got the truck in June. Now, nothing. I can't recall if it worked directly after the newest update, but wondering if anyone else had a failure of their charging pad, and what it took to fix it.

I've already restarted my phone (which works on other wireless charging pads regularly), and I've done a full reboot of the truck using the left steering wheel button/hazard button. Still no charging.

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
Definitely file a bug report / service request. The Rivian service folks are really great in my experience, both phone and in-person.

My driver-side center console release button was intermittent until the 2022.47.x update when it miraculously started working perfectly. Might be software.

If the charging pad has failed, it’s a really easy replacement. The rubber mat is attached with double sided tape and the charging unit is underneath and held in place by a set of clips on the side toward the front of the vehicle. It basically lifts out and has a single connector to unplug.

A new one would drop right into place.

I would just get the aftermarket ones from Twraps or S00nish the factory one doesn't work well anyways

So a full hard reset did not fix it, but for S&G's today, I did an infotainment reset. Fixed it!

The charging pad kicked on and started charging my phone before the screens had even turned on during the reboot.

So good to know: full reset won't fix it, but infotainment reset will.

when you say fixed it do you mean charges wherever you put it, doesn’t stop when the phone moves, kicks on always and immediately, etc?

It charges the phone again. If the phone slides off of it, it won't charge. (duh)

I'll let you know, but I've always had decent luck with it. Pixel 6 with a thin rubber case. Usually if it slides to the back and tucks under the armrest, it'll stop charging if it's sideways, but continue if the top/bottom of the phone is facing the front of the truck.

So this appears to occur again after the truck goes to sleep.

Went to the gym this morning, pad wouldn't work. Did another infotainment reset, started charging my phone immediately.

I'm wondering if it's a new software bug in v47.0.
