Have to assume that means you frequent those establishments in order to make said observation.

I think all the tiny 3-wheel "vehicles" are deathtraps when they share the roads with 7,000+ lb vehicles that can exceed 100mph. Picture an Aptera being T-boned by an R1S who was traveling 60mph :crying:

Aptera still a thing???
Yes, and it's a really cool concept car.. but IMO shouldn't ever be made street legal where it has to share the public roadways with distracted idiots who don't know the difference between the accelerator and brake pedal driving tanks, box trucks, and 18 wheelers.

Genius. No shortage of business. Everyone has to go, some time. Wish I had thought of that (instead of the high-strung, low-reward ad biz).

They are made of repurposed barn wood and designed to concentrate the smells near the top because they love the smell of their own crap. :asshat:

Unfortunately, this feeds into anti-EV sentiment. It's less than 500 vehicles from a failed startup. So what. But lots of people are going to be pointing to this as "proof" that no-one wants EVs and that EVs can't be recycled. (Bullshit on both counts.)

The number of scrapped ICE vehicle exceeds this by several orders of magnitude every year. Here's one of my favorite post-apocalyptic images of destined-to-be scrapped VW and Audi vehicles (due to the emissions cheating) being stored at a never-completed nuclear power plant:

I see a lot of folks using them in certain parts of downtown, but there always seems to be a pile of them outside of hipster favorites like artisanal outhouses and organic wool cap shops.

I test drove a Solo.

It's not a great car, and probably had a great fit for a certain type of commuter, but most Americans would never buy it. Here, everyone "needs" to commute in a monster vehicle. Pretty much nobody is willing to realize that you can have a cheap small vehicle for commuting, and save the big one for those specific needs. That said, it couldn't fill my need as an occasional neighborhood car and backup, because it needs to fit a person plus a dog.

I'm not far from this place and am going to see if it's possible to buy them cheap.
