My R1T fits on our single car garage side with about 3"clearance in each mirror. I have been parking it like that for 3.4 years now.
I think it would fit in my 2 car garage if I pulled in to within 3 inches of the back all, but I've have to relocate my utility sink to try it.

my limited experience was topping out at more like 155-158 and holding for quite awhile. Do different adapters perform differently?
For me, it is typically related to ambient temperatures, or the specific Tesla location. With my Hummer it will charge at a steady 185kw to about 50% then drops down to 155-160kw out to 80%. This is the 400V charging curve, which sucks compared to the 800V curve, which is still at 170-180kw at 80%. With the Rivian I have seen a normal charging curve at Tesla with cooler temps, with high temps it starts limiting. Both trucks indicate that charging is limited by the charger, when this happens.

It could very well be the adapter. GM published the Tesla provided adapter spec, and it is 500A for 10 minutes, then 300A continuous. That is the same adapter used by Ford and Rivian. The Tesla chargers read the temperature sensor in the adapter and limit accordingly.
