After buying the Chrome Delete vinyl strips from T wraps, I still think it’s cleaner to get them professionally painted. I’ve seen people do them around here in Southern California but I’m not sure if they get them coated or painted.

If anyone in Southern California Orange County area has recommendations along with how much you paid for the window trims and the front windshield area, please PM me

Painting is very uncommon - even most professional blackout jobs will be vinyl being it precut or hand cut.

You don’t want to buy vinyl. All the pre cut kits the black has a brown or gray hue to it. It’s cheap and won’t match the piano black on the car. For example, this persons blackout kit I saw online.
Versus, you want to use black ppf. More expensive but it matches painted piano black perfectly. I had the mirrors and c pillar done in black ppf.

Not advocating for matching or not matching, but just FYI Rivian’s Gen2 blackout from the factory does not match.

That’s why they do not call it the ‘blackout’ package. It is just a dark out package. Dark gray/charcoal.

Oof. To have two different tones of black/grey etc.

Just like when the Yellow Rivians had I think 3 different yellows?

My OCD would never let me not see it.
